FencStats is a fencing performance platform that helps athletes and coaches track bouts, analyse statistics, and connect with other fencers. Your data is processed by the FencStats team.

What data we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and password (or Google account ID).
• Profile information: weapon, handedness, level, age category, date of birth, nationality, and bio.
• Bout data: scores, dates, opponents, weapons, venues, and verification status.
• Usage data: login timestamps and feature interactions for product improvement.
• Optional data: avatar photo, coach notes, training sessions, and club memberships.

Why we collect it

• To provide the core service: bout tracking, stats, and fencer discovery.
• To improve the product based on usage patterns.
• To enable coach-athlete and club relationships.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. Your profile and stats are visible to other authenticated users on the platform, subject to your privacy settings. We use Google OAuth for optional login. Your data is stored on secure servers within the EU.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data via your profile settings.
• Delete your account. Your personal data will be removed, but bout records are anonymised and retained so they remain available to other participants.
• Withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your privacy settings or deleting your account.

Data retention

Your personal data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, personal information is removed and your user record is anonymised. Bout records are kept in anonymised form so they remain useful to the other fencer involved.
